System Down for Upgrade Saturday, December 20th, 8:00AM to Noon. We will be upgrading to version 9.1 which will enable multi-language & multi-currency functionality.

     Problems, Issues & Workarounds
• We are currently working The Time Sheet or its Work Items has been updated by another user error experienced on Saving a Time Sheet. Please do not enter tickets for this defect, but report any other issues experienced. There is no work around for this issue. Once you start the time sheet update process, please do not delay in Saving your updates. If you created your current time sheet by copying an older time sheet, please build a new time sheet from scratch by adding your active tasks. If your time entry is aborted, please try again.
• If you receive the message "this user is not connected to any products" after trying to login, please ask your Direct or Project Manager to submit a Resource Profile Update request to establish your system access.
• If you need to enter time against project tasks, but are unable to find the appropriate task, please see your Direct or Project Manager for assistance.
• If you are unable to access needed fields in a Proposal, Project or Product Enhancement request, please contact the "Document Contact " listed on the specific Request form. All access is controlled by this person.

      Time Reporting as at Saturday, 11/1/08     60.0% Reporting 40.0 hours; 47 people Reporting less than 40.0 hours; 106 IT Not Reporting at all as of Monday morning.

     Training Session Schedule

     Please request the desired session (or session interest) by Name via email to Dan.Gallagher@CIMpleBS.com. Additional sessions will be added as these are filled, and the complete series will be repeated monthly to assist those moving into new roles. A meeting request confirmation will be sent based on first come, first serve request. Training will be in Conference Room 14. The Session title is linked to the Training Material & any jobaids available. Please review the Slide Notes for all powerpoint presentations for hints and tips on functionality, setup and navigation.

• Time Sheet Entry Tuesday, 11/11 9:30-10:00AM
      This session will cover basic Time Sheet Entry procedures and should be taken by all Project Team Members. There are no prerequisites for this session.
• System Overview & Navigation v7.5 Tuesday 11/11 2:30-4:00PM
      This session is designed for new HP-PPM stakeholders, to provide basic navigation and functionality. Topics covered include Dashboards, Portlets, finding, updating, reporting and extracting information from the system. New Management employees needing HP-PPM access and information must take this foundational class before any of the specific funtional or role related classes, as it will be assumed these topics are well understood for subsequent classes. This syllabus is not relevant for Time Sheet Entry only participants. You must have a Demand Management License to register for this class.
• Resource Management v7.5 Wednesday 11/12 9:30-11:00AM
      This session is designed to provide instruction on the Resource Management function and includes: Resource Pools, Roles, Staffing Profiles and Capacity Management. Participants should be Resource Pool Managers and have already taken the System Overview syllabus. You must have a Demand & Resource Management License to register for this session.
• Project Work Plans v7.5 Thursday, 11/13 9:30-11:00AM
      This session is designed to provide basic Project creation and Work Plan (schedule) navigation, functionality and utilization. You must have a Project Management License to register for this session. Due to the complexity and critical nature of this module, each participant will be given access to the Development enviornment for 30 days for hands-on training. You must have taken the System Overview & Navigation session, as well as the Time Sheet session prior to taking this class.
• Portfolio Management v7.5 Friday, 11/14 2:00-4:00PM
      This session is designed to provide basic understanding of the system for both Strategic and Release Planning. The Development of Scenarios, Load Analysis Reporting and monthly forecasting will be covered in detail. You must have a Portfolio Management License in order to register for this class and have already taken the Resource Management and Strategic Planning sessions.
